Time for another hair tutorial! This one is super easy. You don’t need to be an amazing stylist, master braider, or queen of the curling iron to get this look. It’s all about simple, sleek hair using bobby pins as a hair accessory. I plan on wearing this style for holiday parties but you can switch it up and wear it for daytime, too. I was inspired by Jeannie Mai to do this Style Spotter video with help from my favorite Garnier products.
I start with the Garnier Sleek & Shine Flat Iron Perfector Straightening Mist. It protects hair from heat tools and I like that it’s a spray as opposed to a serum. Serums can be difficult to work with, you can easily over apply and end up with a greasy look. So just spray this lightly all over before your start flat ironing.
Try to give your wrist a slight bend as you flat iron so you can have a bit of volume and a bend toward the ends. The idea is that you don’t want your hair stick straight, just sleek with a bit of volume.
Now apply Garnier De-Constructed Pixie Play to ends. I warm it in my hands first then apply it to ends for a textured, piecey look and just the right of model-off-duty messiness. After that make a deep side part and start adding your bobby pins. You can go simple with just a few behind your ear, or add more for a punk-inspired look. Try coordinating them with your jewelry for a real wow factor.
Once you’re done, tame flyaways and add hold with Garnier Full Control Anti-Humidity Hair Spray. All done! Simple, quick, and statement-making! Watch me show you how to get the look step-by-step in the vid below!
