When thumbing through pinterest, I always find myself drawn to the same types of photos for home decor inspo. The spaces are always clean, welcoming and look like you could actually live there. For years, I have lusted after a pinterest worthy living room and I finally got it. I’ve been so eager to share the process of making over my small space with you and I’m so excited that it is complete!
While working with interior designer Amber Lancaster, I told her everything I wanted for my home. I wanted a couch that felt like a cloud, a clean space without being too modern and touches of femininity. Shortly after our first meeting, Amber made a mock up for me and over my dream couch was a print by Gray Malin. When I first saw this, I knew she was the right girl for the job because we shared a common love of his photography.
If you don’t follow Gray on instagram, you should because that’s how I first fell in love with his work. Being a lover of travel, his photos always make me feel like I need to head on another adventure and the spirit of each photo embodies so much about what I love about life. I knew I had to have a piece for my own home.
Through the process of designing my living room, Amber and I got to meet with Gray and learn more about him, the brand and stories behind different photos. Together we looked at different options and decided on the Coogee Beach triptych for my wall. This is from the Beaches of Sydney collection and the colors of the photos match perfectly with my aesthetic. In the pictures of my living room, you can tell the oversized print with white framing, fits just right and gives the room an overall relaxed feel with just the right amount of blue.
I’m so happy with how my living room turned out, the Gray Malin piece was the perfect thing to complete this room. I can’t wait to share more details of the overall room with you in an upcoming blog post and more with interior designer Amber Lancaster who transformed my space and turned a room, into my home.

It is absolutely gorgeous! I adore the Gray Malin piece and am dying to incorporate it (or one of his photographs) into my own home. It works so well with the beautiful sofa and all of the pillows. The blush color pillows is just the perfect color, and the animal print pillow balances it out and gives a little edge to the sweetness. I also love the fiddle leaf fig. Are your walls white?
