If you watched on snapchat or in my latest travel vlog to Aspen, you might have seen my attempt to ice skate, ha! I was longing to go to a Winter destination, because it doesn’t quite feel like white Christmas in Los Angeles. I hopped on a one hour 40 minute flight to Colorado and let me tell you, the weather is so different. Duh, but really. It was freezing there and soooooooo dry. I already have dry skin but the air there just takes any moisture out. When traveling to hot destinations, I know how to protect my skin in the heat. It’s easy to remember to use our SPF and moisturizers when we’re wearing shorts and tanks but in the wintertime we all tend to neglect our skin, me included.
So, on my recent trip to Aspen I made sure to make a special effort to care for my skin. The product I relied on is something affordable that you can pick up at any drugstore and is a must for prepping your skin for extreme cold.
Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair is specially created for dry skin and very cold climates. It’s so nourishing you can feel the difference in only one use. I used this lotion daily in Aspen and my skin amazingly retained moisture and hydration. Even when I was outdoors for almost the entire day, skiing, ice skating and doing other activities, I didn’t have to deal with dry cracked skin at the end of the day.
Even when I was inside the hotel, I had the heat on because I was freezing which ended up making my hands and legs really dry. So I applied the Vaseline lotion on my hands and legs and they stayed really moisturized too. Another tip if you feel dry with the heat on is to invest in a humidifier, its a live saver I promise!
If you’re already dealing with dry skin, it’s not too late. Just apply this lotion every day and you should see results in about five days. If you’re like me and are picky when it comes to fragrances, don’t worry it’s unscented.
Pick up a bottle and tell me how you like it. Tweet me or tag me in your pics on Instagram so I can see and read all of your reviews

I highly recommend The New Charity Pot lotion from Lush Costmetics! It’s thick! It has the highest grade of fairly traded organic cocoa butter, shea butter, and moringa oil. Moringa oil is able to penetrate several layers of your skin to keep you nice and moisturized. If you get skin sensitivity, such as eczema or psoriasis I recommend Dream Cream Lotion.
