I’ve been getting a lot of requests about my blowdrying technique so I thought I’d devote an entire post and video to showing you all my routine. For this Style Spotter video with Garnier, I’m going to walk you through my blowout process for sexy voluminous hair. Don’t be intimidated, it’s super easy once you get the hang of it! This look is inspired by my stylist Tauni and the glamorous waves she posts on her Instagram.
On damp hair, start by applying Garnier Sky-Hi Volume Mousse on your roots. This is going to give you a lot of volume and keep your hair from falling flat by the end of the day.
Next I apply Garnier Full & Plush Voluptuous Blowout to my ends. This is a styling cream that really helps add body and shape. The bend I create with my round brush stays in place a lot longer with this product so I make sure to use it before every blowout.
Now that my hair is prepped with mousse and the styling cream, I blowdry my hair until it’s about half dry. Once that’s done I start working section by section. My first section is my bangs. I start at the ends and wrap my hair around the brush as I dry. I use one large Velcro roller to set my bangs and add more volume while I work through the rest of my hair.
The rest of my hair I separate into three sections. The first section I create is near the nape of my neck. For this section I use the round brush vertically to make a soft bend. For the middle section of my hair, I switch it up and use the brush horizontally. This adds even more— you guessed it— volume!
For the top portion of my hair, I do small sections going away from my face. It’s pretty much the same process as the bangs. Now I add a bit of Garnier Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Hair Spray to lock in the style. That’s it! It only takes a few simple steps and the right products to get full, sexy, voluminous hair.

Your hair looks awesome. I will try this but my hair is so thin. Hopefully it works. What shampoo and conditioner do you recommend? ✌︎
