I’m so happy I got to visit Aspen this year. It was my first time in Colorado and I had a wishlist of activities and attractions I had to experience during my stay. I made sure to have cocktails at Little Nell, get a massage at the St Regis, have a fried chicken sandwich at White House Tavern and get in a full day’s worth of snowboarding on Aspen Mountain.
I’ve been snowboarding since 6th grade back in Ohio my friends and I would go once a week as part of ski club. I tried skiing first and really failed, so thats when I switched to snowboarding. I’m not a really sporty person but its one activity that I really love. I’ve been in Ohio and in California at Big Bear, so I was a little intimidated in Aspen.
Surprisingly, you get really warm when snowboarding. So I wear a base layer and a coat I can unzip. But my face gets really cold, my lips get chapped and the sun can be really bright bouncing off the snow. Any snowboarder can tell you just how damaging cold wind can be on your skin. Even with the proper apparel (check out my Aspen outfit details here) you should still go the extra mile and protect your skin with a deeply moisturizing lotion. I used Vaseline Intensive Care lotion to prep my skin for the cold every day while I was on my trip. I love how instantly you can feel a difference in your skin so it’s actually become part of my daily routine. This lotion is proven to heal dry skin in five days and uses droplets of Vaseline jelly to protect skin. It’s also unscented so it won’t conflict with your perfume (a pet peeve of mine!)
What’s your favorite winter sport? Tag me in your pics and let me know how you prepped your skin for the cold

I tried snowboarding once and I wasn’t exactly the best at it. I will have to try this lotion to see if it helps my dehydrated skin
