HOW TO CREATE THE MAX FACTOR CAT EYE BY PAT MCGRATH

Max Factor is a beauty brand that always brings the edge. The name is synonymous with fashion, glamour, and makeup that turns heads.

Max Factor was the original glamour brand, founded by visionary artist who didn’t just create makeup, he invented the term. I couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with them on this blog post. How cool is it that this legendary brand is back and bringing the essentials for a modern take on a classic look?!

Max Factor Global Creative Design Director and iconic makeup artist Pat McGrath has helped curate a new limited edition collection all about modern glamour and it’s coming to the United States. Pat and Max Factor specifically chose these products for the collection so  that anyone could create a fresh take on glam and master a perfect cat eye and nude lip. I was beyond excited to be one of the first to get my hands on the products.

I’m honored to call Pat McGrath a friend of mine after meeting her at a previous New York Fashion week show and have long admired her transformative runway makeup. So as soon as I heard she collaborated with Max Factor on what should be included in the capsule collection, I knew this was the next best thing to getting her to move in with me and become my full time MUA!

To get this sultry cat eye I used the Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Eyeliner and the Masterpiece Max Mascara. For my nude lip look I used this super moisturizing Max Factor Lipstick in Simply Nude.

I started by tracing my eyeliner shape with Max Factor Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Eyeliner. Keep in mind you want your liner to go from thin to thick with very little product near your tear duct. This keeps the overall look from being more sculpted than sloppy.

Be sure to draw the point of your liner upwards and outwards, toward the end of your eyebrow. This makes the overall look more dramatic, highlights cheekbones, and gives your face a nice little lifting effect. If you have trouble getting the perfect flick the first time, no worries. You can always use a cotton swab to make corrections.

I finished the look with a few coats of Max Factor Masterpiece MAX Mascara. This mascara is for the bold! It has a volume-boosting formula and a soft, flexible brush; even the tiniest of my lashes got a real boost.

If you like this look be sure to shop this limited edition collection curated together with Pat McGrath. Like I said, it’s extremely limited and once it’s gone, it’s gone! The collection is available Walgreens.com, Amazon.com, and Drugstore.com

I can’t wait to see the cat eyes you all create with these gorgeous products. Be sure to hashtag your cat eye with #MaxFactorUS on Instagram.
