It seems like out of nowhere everything became all about brows. With so many options out there, how can you tell which type of product is best for you?
I like to bounce between different products and techniques depending on my desired look or how much time I’m devoting into my makeup that day. I recommend trying one of each type of brow product if you can and have organized these types from the easiest to the most difficult to use:
If your brows don’t need much reshaping, powders are a great option. If all you’re looking for is a slightly darker brow that’s more full than hairy, go with a powder. I’d recommend setting these with a gel since they do have a tendency to fade throughout the day.
Pencils are great for reshaping your existing brows for a bolder look. If you need to fill in any sparse areas or prefer a really sharp arch, an extremely fine retractable brow pencil is the way to go. Remember to use short flicks to make hairlike strokes that will blend easily with your current brow hairs.
Gels and pomades offer the boldest, most pigmented payoff for brows. At first they can be difficult to use so always start with the tiniest amount on your brush. I also recommend cleaning your brush completely after each use, a clean brush will always make the thinnest, most precise strokes.
What’s your fav way to get bangin’ brows? Do you swear by powders, pencils, pomades, or all three?
