As all bloggers and content creators know, there’s a lot of tech necessities involved with what we do. Whether it’s editing software for photos and videos or a laptop to work on day in and day out, there’s a list that I swear by. I’m sharing the tech essentials that I feel everyone can benefit from having and how they’ve helped me do my job better.
To start with the more obvious ones of the bunch, my iPhone is an absolute must-have. I use an iPhone for a lot of my evergreen photos, and really only use professional shots for sponsored posts. My iPhone also obviously stores all of my most-used apps such as Instagram and Planoly.
Ever since Apple removed the headphone jack on iPhones, I’ve turned to AirPods and I absolutely love them. You don’t need to worry about getting wires tangled in your clothes or hair with them, and they make it easier to take a conference call no matter I am. They’re definitely worth the investment.
With that being said, a case for your AirPods is also essential. Since they’re so small, they’re pretty easy to misplace, but not if you have the proper storage. There’s a surprisingly good amount of cute cases that you can store your AirPod in and throw right into your bag. Enjoy them worry-free.
I love using my Mac desktop at home, but when I’m on the go I usually have my MacBook Air with me. I bring it into the Summer Fridays office with me as well as when I travel, to continue working on all of my projects when I’m away from home. It’s super lightweight and fits in a lot of different bags.
As a content creator, editing software is so important for both my photos and YouTube videos. I use Adobe Lightroom on desktop and mobile for editing my photos with presets and to stick to my Instagram aesthetic. For videos some great software programs are Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Elements and iMovie.
It seems as though home devices are taking over, and that’s because they’re actually everywhere. The Amazon Echo is one of my favorites because it’s so easy to use, is convenient for my personal needs at home, and it’s gotten better with each update. From listening to the news to playing music, it does so much and more.
This list wouldn’t be complete without a power bank for my iPhone. I need to stay charged up to stay on track of my emails, post content, and of course interact with you guys! Bringing along one of these portable power banks has been both a lifesaver and game changer.
