Lately, it feels like my life solely consists of traveling. It’s been very nonstop for the last few months, but I’ll admit that the back to back flights have made me quite the expert at packing. I know a lot of you struggle with packing (and unpacking!) for your vacations, work trips, and all of the above. Of course, I’m here to help with all of the tricks I’ve learned along the way. The secret to packing your necessities effectively is by using the right travel accessories. Take a look at my favorites down below as well as links to shop from!
Hanging Toiletry Organizer
The last thing I want is for my essentials to get disorganized or left behind while I’m traveling. Using a hanging toiletry bag helps me see all of my items clearly and pack them right back up. Misplacing my products and necessities in a hotel room is never fun, and having them all in one place and able to hang up makes my travels more comfortable.
Steamers are so much better at getting wrinkles out compared to hotel room irons. We obviously can’t travel with a larger home steaming system, but thankfully there are plenty of travel-sized options available. I pop one right into my luggage and proceed to steam my clothes as usual.
One of the ways to make the packing process even easier is by using packing cubes. I like having certain items separated from the rest of my clothes, and these do exactly that. Packing cubes can help you differentiate your shoes, your undergarments, delicate fabrics, etc. If you’re looking to make things a little neater in general, packing cubes are the way to go.
Hard Shell Makeup Case
I always bring my makeup along with me when I’m traveling, and to avoid any mishaps, I pack it all in a hard shell makeup case. If you think about it, a lot of makeup products either come in glass packaging or easy-to-spill tubing. Packing it all into a hard shell case makes it all more durable for travel. No matter how much your luggage moves around, this type of case protects the goods.
Makeup Brush Travel Case
Of course, if I’m bringing makeup, I need to bring my makeup brushes too. The easiest way to pack makeup brushes is with cylinder-shaped travel cases. This way you can leave your brushes standing upward, and use the case for storing them in your hotel room. Depending on how many you use, you can have one case designated for face brushes and another for eyes, lips, etc.
