I can’t believe it’s already time for NYFW again. After debating if I would be attending this season or not, I’ve decided to head out to the Big Apple for the week of fashion, work, and fun. I’m breaking down everything that I pack for the super busy week, and I’m starting off with all of my tech essentials. Whether you’re planning on exploring NYFW for yourself, or want a behind the scenes look, keep on reading for what I bring along with me.
As much as I love shooting content with my iPhone, for special occasions, I do use a camera or bring a photographer along with me. For lengthy occasions such as NYFW, having more than one camera is important for the different events. For branded content and shoots, it’s best for photos to be taken on a DLSR camera, and if I want to vlog, I can use a point-and-shoot camera.
In order for me to update the blog accordingly, I, of course, bring my laptop along. I also take a lot of meetings whenever I get the chance to head over to New York, and am frequently catching up on email during my trip. My laptop is also important for uploading any photos or video content that needs to be edited while I’m away.
Chargers (Plenty of Them)
This may be the most important part of my tech essentials. It’s so easy for anyone’s phone to run out of battery while attending NYFW. I bring several chargers along with me, and external batteries to stay charged up as much as possible throughout the day. You also don’t want to forget your laptop charger or camera chargers, if any.
Because of the amount of content we shoot during the week, we’ll need several SD cards. This way I know that there’s enough memory to store all of the photos and clips that are captured for every show and event. I also make sure to have somewhere to save all of these, because there’s nothing worse than losing all of the content you worked so hard to capture.
