As I’m unveiling everything that I bring along with me to New York Fashion Week, I’m of course highlighting my go-to beauty products. Apart from my traditional skincare and makeup routine, there are very specific products and tools that I bring along for this sort of trip. After all, it’s a week-long event in a very humid climate so I need to be extra mindful of what I bring along with me. These are my NYFW beauty survival kit picks.
During this time of year, New York is still humid and everyone’s skin is bound to get a bit oily. To save myself from the excess shine appearing across my face, I always stash some oil-blotting sheets in my bag. These are great especially since I’ll be moving from show to show and there’s a chance of getting my picture taken.
Again, the humidity can be no joke so it’s better to be safe than sorry. I love deodorant wipes for freshening up quickly on the go, and these are honestly a good staple to have when you’re traveling overall. They’re easy to use, disposable, and help make you feel refreshed in the middle of the day.
When I don’t have time to squeeze in a blowout session or hair touch-up, I settle for using some dry shampoo before heading out the door. I’ve always been a big fan of dry shampoo and it now comes in more TSA-friendly forms such as powders or balms, if you can’t travel with aerosol cans. Say goodbye to oily strands and freshen up your roots with this hair savior.
It’s always great to have some tweezers on hand, but it’s extra important when I’m noticing any unruly brows. While I always get my brows done before NYFW, it’s good to be on the safe side and have a pair of tweezers on deck to deal with any hair getting rid of my preferred shape.
During NYFW, the days are long and exhausting and sometimes I’m too lazy to wash off my makeup. This is why I make sure to have some makeup wipes on my hotel nightstand for me to reach for at the end of the day. I’m still getting to cleanse my skin right from my bed.
Of course, I wouldn’t ever forget my face masks while traveling for such a long trip. I use the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask on and off the plane to hydrate and restore my tired skin after traveling. Now I also use the Summer Fridays Overtime Mask to exfoliate and give my skin a rejuvenating boost about twice a week.
