Is it just me, or does hair care often fall by the wayside when we’re talking about beauty treatments? We’re constantly talking about makeup and skincare, but a lot of the time, we forget that our hair needs some love in between salon appointments. Shampoos and conditioners are just the baseline of proper hair care: Masks, treatments, and styling products are all must-haves in your arsenal, even if you only use them every once in awhile for special occasions.
Below, check out all of my favorite hair products that you can stock up on at Sephora.
Ouai Detox Shampoo
Though I haven’t been styling my hair much these days, this shampoo is amazing for when I have product buildup or just need to really clarify my scalp. It’s the perfect shampoo for when your hair needs to hit the reset button, and is also formulated to help hair that’s oily or dull.
Ouai Conditioner for Medium Hair
I love that Ouai came out with these simplified shampoo and conditioner formulas. My hair is naturally wavy and somewhere in between fine and thick, so I love the medium conditioner to help nourish my strands. It hydrates, controls frizz, and makes my hair super soft and shiny.
Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask
Since quarantine started, I’ve been making an effort to avoid styling my hair as much as possible and to mask every time I wash it. This mask has helped seriously improve my hair’s overall health, smoothness, and shine. Not only does it help repair damaged hair, but it also amplifies my color and protects against future damage.
Ouai Hair Oil
For those days when my ends need a little love, the Ouai Hair Oil comes to my rescue. It’s a really lightweight oil that never leaves my strands feeling heavy or looking greasy. It also works as a heat protectant so you can hydrate and heat style your hair at the same time. Plus, a little goes a long way and one bottle can last me months.
Amika The Wizard Detangling Hair Primer
If your hair tends to get tangled after washing the way mine does, this Amika detangling spray will seriously work wonders for you. It’s an all-in-one hair primer that you spray in after washing to untangle, heat protect, and prep you hair for styling. It helps cut down styling time and is overall just a miracle product to have in your arsenal.
Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Spray Blow Dry
Who doesn’t love voluminous beachy waves? Whether you’re hoping to amplify your hair’s natural waves or blow it out to get that effect, I love this spray for achieving those gorgeous waves that look like you just swam in the ocean. It’s part mousse and part salt spray so it helps style your hair in a way that looks totally natural and never stiff.
Amika Un.Done Volume & Matte Texture Spray
I love a texturizing spray for my hair type because it helps add depth and volume to it, but I think this spray would also work for someone with straighter, finer hair that needs a bit of oomph. This Amika spray is perfect for styling your hair in that “I just rolled out of bed but still look fabulous” ‘do that looks so effortless.
Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer Limited-Edition Gift Set
Make sure you get your hands on this before it goes away! You all know how much I love my Dyson Supersonic: It blow dries my hair in no time, and makes styling it so much easier. The technology in it also helps maintain your hair’s health so that it doesn’t get excessively damaged from the heat. In addition to the usual attachments included with the Supersonic, this limited-edition set also includes a round brush and wide-toothed comb so you can style the blowout of your dreams.
Dyson Airwrap Styler
I really can’t say enough good things about the Dyson Airwrap. This tool comes with seven different attachments so you really can style your hair in any way after you wash it. Use the paddle brushes to get a smooth, sleek look, or any of the curling barrels to get beautifully blown out curls. It’s a multitasking tool that I know I won’t be able to live without.
GHD Curve 1.25″ Soft Curl Iron
This curling iron from GHD is my go-to for those second or third-day curls that need a little refresh. The 1.25-inch barrel gives soft, loose waves that look super natural, and like all other GHD products, the heat is maintained at the optimal styling temperature of 185 degrees Celsius.
