I recently bought myself a juicer to try some delicious and healthy recipes at home. However, my intentions were never to just solely use it to create my own juices because there’s so many other things that can come from a juicer. Many people aren’t aware that you can use a juicer to make everything from soups to salsa to sorbet right in the comfort of your own kitchen. I was most excited to make my own almond milk, but I’ve compiled a list of other things I can’t wait to whip up. I’ve also added some simple recipes for debloating and glowing skin that you guys can try if you already own a juicer.
I love adding almond milk to everything from my coffee to my smoothies and it’s so easy to make with a juicer. It’s a lot more cost efficient to buy a large amount of almonds and save them for whenever you want to make some of your own milk. All you have to do is soak your almonds in water overnight before you can get started.
Now that summer is almost here, sorbet is definitely on my mind. The refreshing dessert is a great replacement for ice cream and for those who prefer fruitier snacks. You can make sorbet from your favorite fruits and it’s a great way to add fiber into your diet while still treating yourself to something sweet.
If you want to try making your own nut butter, it’s totally possible if you have a juicer. Almond butter, peanut butter and cashew butter have a ton of flavor, but when bought in-store often have high levels of sugar and other ingredients. This is a great way to ensure you’re getting the healthiest version of nut butter instead of a packaged version.
Believe it or not, you can make a variety of delicious soups straight from your juicer. Whether you like soup as a lunch course or a side dish, you can make a batch of your favorite kind easily. Vegetable-based soups are ideal for a juicer because it’ll break them down in a way where you’re still getting all of the essential nutrients.
