If you watch my instagram stories, you may have seen that I have recently finished a book called The Morning Miracle. I don’t claim to be some very intellectual person that is constantly reading books nor do I like reading fiction books, I would rather watch a movie. But if I do read, I prefer self help books. If I am going to read I may as well do some self improvement while I am at it. I rarely read at home but when I go on vacation I like to have a book with me to read while laying out or at a coffee shop. A few days before leaving for St Tropez my niece recommended , so thanks to Amazon Prime I ordered it and had it on my doorstep before leaving for my trip, isn’t prime the best?!
This book was a fairly easy read, I finished it in two days. A lot of what was spoken about in the book is things I already implement in my life just not in this order or routine. I find this happens when I read a lot of self help books, the recommend things I already do so I guess I’m doing some things right! But one area that was lacking was journaling or writing. The author, Hal Elrod, recommends to spend 5-10 minutes a day writing. Well, I write a lot here on my blog. Almost everyday I am writing but I wouldn’t exactly call it journaling.
His advice in the book is to spend a few minutes everyday doing this but I thought – if I am going to be journaling everyday, I may as well be sharing my thoughts with you – my readers. I don’t know what format this will take, what topics I will cover or how long or short these will be but I guess now that I’ve shared with you publicly that I will do this, I have to follow through. (You see what I did there? I made you my accountability partner. If you read the book you’ll know what I am talking about)
So, wish me luck. I don’t know if I will be writing daily and share at the end of the week or write daily and post – who knows! But if theres anything you think I should write about on a more personal level than beauty or fashion – leave me a comment.
