You all know how much I love to read! Seriously, I will pick up a book wherever I am and usually bring one along with me on any of my travels. I really enjoy learning and reading books by some of today’s biggest leaders has helped me so much, especially in my business. Lately I’ve found myself gravitating towards books about growth and entrepreneurship in efforts to apply the knowledge to my everyday life. I thought I’d share my latest book roundup with you all and I hope it leads you to some great reads!
I picked up this book because it was written by the former chairman of North America for LVMH, Pauline Brown. She guides readers on how to build businesses and brands under the rubric of aesthetic intelligence—which I was also very interested in. As a business owner myself I’m always looking to learn from people who’ve been in my shoes before as an entrepreneur. For those who don’t know what aesthetic intelligence is, it’s our ability to understand, interpret, and articulate feelings that are evoked by an experience or object. So for entrepreneurs and business owners it helps apply their personality and tastes to their companies.
Girl Wash Your Face
This book is really inspiring to me because it’s all about becoming who you were meant to be. A lot of us deal with imposter syndrome and tend to believe lies about ourselves that can get in the way of our growth. The author shares her own experiences and how she overcame believing these lies about herself. It’s so useful and every woman can relate!
The Ride of a Lifetime
The Ride of a Lifetime was written by the CEO of Disney and it’s about all of the lessons he’s learned during his 15-year career. Disney is one of the most iconic companies of my lifetime and I’m sure it’ll stay that way for years to come. Robert Iger shares the ideas and values that he used to reinvent Disney and what being a successful leader looks like. If you’re looking to work on leadership and business-building, I highly recommend this one!
Are you a fan of bulletproof coffee? Well Bulletproof 360’s founder, Dave Asprey, is one of today’s most notable entrepreneurs and his book is so insightful. For anyone who wants to become happier, healthier, and smarter, this book’s for you.
