The weather is already starting to change right before our very eyes. As we all know, with cooler weather often comes dryer skin. Some of you may have already started to experience this change in the texture of your skin, and it’s time to act now. Ahead, some remedies to incorporate into your routine for more hydrated, healthier skin.
Using a cleanser that is too abrasive on your skin will only dry it out more. While exfoliation is important, doing it too often will only worsen your dryness. Instead, go for a gentle cleanser that has hydrating properties and will bring your dry skin back to life.
When looking for a moisturizer, you’ll want to grab one that has a gel or water base. The consistency of both can immediately quench any dry patches that are visible on your skin. These also leave a nice canvas prior to applying any makeup, so you won’t have to worry about any creasing.
This one is a given. If your skin is feeling dry and you need an extra boost of moisture and hydration, find the right mask. The Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask targets this issue directly and doesn’t need to be washed off. Masks have the ability to penetrate deeper into our skin than a lot of other products, so they can be a huge help.
The under-eye area dries up very easily. This also happens to be the most sensitive skin area on our faces, so it’s important to take extra care of it. One of my favorite products to use under my eyes are gel patches. These are cooling, hydrating, and anti-inflammatory all at once, and really help you look more youthful.
Nourishing Lip Balm
Of course, we can’t forget our lips! It’s so easy for our lips to dry and become chapped as the weather changes. Thankfully, the easy fix for this is a great lip balm. Apply and re-apply lip balm every day in order to have a smooth pout, no matter the season.
