I’ll be honest, I’ve never been the type that loves to read books. Most of the time, reading makes me really tired. So I’m not going to pretend like I’m some smarty pants who knows everything about literature. But there has been a few books I’ve read that have really motivated me and inspired me in life, career and beyond.
The Alchemist by
I first heard about The Alchemist when Oprah was interviewing Pharrell. The two spoke about how this book changed both of their lives and I trust Oprah with just about anything and immediately downloaded it on my iBooks. If my post won’t inspire you to read this book, listen to what they had to say.
Still need more convincing? This book really helped me understand that the path you take in life, the obstacles you over come and some times even the way your life is redirected is all for an end goal and result. And even if your path is delayed, the things that you work for and that are meant for you will come when the time is right. I highly recommend this book for anyone who feels like they are frustrated or feeling like they want to give up on a goal.
THE SECRET by RHODA BYRNE
I’ve always been really good at manifesting the things that I want in life and maintaining positive thoughts. So when I read The Secret, I thought to myself well I’m already practicing so much of what this book is teaching. But it taught me to hone in on the way my mind already was working. This book isn’t magic. You won’t magically get something just because you visualize it. But what it will do is help you think positively and constantly remind yourself to see the results you want in your mind and leave the negative thoughts elsewhere.
