I am always ordering things on Amazon. I pick up beauty items, things for my home, style pieces and everything in between. Since I shop on there so frequently, I wanted to make a storefront so you could easily see the things I am picking up — incase you wanted them too!
You can find my storefront here, I am always updating the categories with new items! So be sure to bookmark it to check back if I have added any must haves.
The Holiday weekend is here and Thanksgiving marks the start of Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. This is a great time to shop for gifts to give (or maybe something for yourself) I’m rounding up a few sales that I could find for beauty lovers.
Of course had to share that we are having our Summer Fridays Black Friday sale starting now! You can get 20% off with the code FRIDAY.
Sephora is doing a sale between now and Cyber Monday for up to 50% off a list of items that you can find here. A few of my favorite items include
There are a more sales happening at all of the beauty retailers! Ulta has deals for $10 and under, for a beauty splurge check out the 20% off sale at Violet Grey .
Dermstore is offering up to 30% off with code sharethelove and Nordstrom has so many options to pick from on their site like this Armani Beauty glow set. Goop is also offering up to 60% off not only on beauty products, but across all categories.
Ok I know, we’re only a few days into November but I already have the Holidays on my mind.
Usually in the Fall and Winter, I take trips to colder climates to really experience the change in seasons. I really look forward to them to marks the holidays – which I love sooooo much. But since I’m not traveling this year, I wanted to make my home feel festive.
I know it may be a little early to start decorating, but I wanted to make my home feel extra cozy this year. I’ve already started shopping online and buying table top decor, a faux tree, and candles to make my space feel ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I wanted to share some of the things I bought or that I have my eye on so that you can start decorating too.
Of course it is all in the most Marianna style, I try and find minimal pieces in neutral tones so it fits my home decor!
Garlands and Wreaths
I’ll update this post with more picks as I shop around this Holiday season!
It’s no secret that I absolutely live in knit sets. They’re so easy to mix and match, are super comfortable for daily wear, and they’re easy enough to dress up when I have to run errands or go out to grab coffee. As the weather cools down and we head into the Fall and Winter seasons, here are some knit sets that I’ll be cozying up in over the next few months.
Knit sets with pants are always a staple in my closet. Knit pants feel more elevated than joggers and sweatpants but are still cozy enough to lounge around the house in. I love that there are so many different kinds of knit pants, ranging from skinny cuts, to wide-legged fits, to cropped lengths. Whether you pick out a set matched with sweater or crop top, knit pants are always great to have in your Fall and Winter wardrobe.
LA winters aren’t that cold, and the weather doesn’t always call for knit pants. Especially when I’m staying inside with the windows open for a little fresh air, I don’t need to stay super warm with pants. I love these little knit short sets for those long WFH days that start at my desk and end on the couch.
There’s nothing cozier to me than wrapping up in a long cardigan when it’s a little chilly. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I can’t live without a few dusters in my closet. I love that these sets include extra long duster cardigans that are perfect for wrapping around you on a colder day.
One thing that I’ve seriously missed during quarantine is going out to a nail salon to treat myself to a manicure.
I’m not the best at doing my own nails — but here are some of the things I use to achieve an almost salon-worthy manicure from the comfort of my home.
Shop My Must Haves
Olly Undeniable Beauty Multivitamin Gummies
I take a variety of Olly multivitamin gummies and are constantly trying out different ones, but the Undeniable Beauty ones are always in my rotation. They contain vitamins C and E to help promote brighter and stronger hair, skin, and nails, and even contain biotin and borage oil to help strengthen them as well. When I take these regularly, I particularly see how my nails get stronger and thicker to prep for a manicure.
Ella + Mila Nail Care Nail Strengthener First Aid Kiss
If your nails are thin or weak because of excessive gel or acrylic application, quarantine is a perfect time to let them detox a little bit. This Ella + Mila nail strengthener is a “7-free” product, and it’s also formulated vegan, cruelty-free, and PETA-certified. It’s a good-for-you nail treatment that can really help strengthen your nails over time. Just note that, while you can use it under polish, it’s not actually a base coat (so your mani might not last as long).
If you’re looking for a nail strengthening product that you can add to your daily routine, try out CND’s RescueRXx. It’s a daily treatment that helps thicken, strengthen, and repair your nails with continuous daily use. It contains jojoba seed and sweet almond oils to deeply hydrate the nail bed, as well as keratin to help strengthen the nail.
Everyone needs a nail care kit in their medicine cabinet, both for at-home manicures and those random hang nail emergencies. This kit comes complete with so many different tools, you’ll definitely be able to find whatever you need to prep your nails and cuticles for polish application.
Let’s face it — holding a nail polish brush isn’t easy, especially with your non-dominant hand. While it might seem weird to get something like Olive & June’s The Poppy, this little silicone attachment (which fits on most nail polish applicators) really helps keep a steady hand. It gives you a better grip on your nail polish so you can get the perfect application. Just switch it from bottle to bottle as you work through the steps of your mani.
This Nailkale base coat from Nails Inc. is perfect if you’re just looking for a one-and-done product. Rather than having to worry about a treatment that you have to apply separately from your polish, this one treats and preps your nails all in one swipe. Use this to prepare your nails for polish and also help strengthen them while you wear it.
Anyone who follows me on Instagram knows that Essie Ballet Slippers is my absolutefavorite nail polish shade. It’s that perfect faded pink that’s almost white, which is so easy to match with everything. It looks chic and sophisticated so my hands always look prepped and ready for an Instagram-worthy shot.
I go to the Olive & June salon here in LA and am always amazed by how shiny and perfect my mani looks when I leave. This top coat is thick and protective so your mani lasts a long time, and it also has an irresistible shine that really ups how polished (forgive the pun) my hands look.
One reason why it’s always hard to do my own manicures is because I forget my nails are still wet and I smudge them on something. With this mini nail dryer from Amazon, I’m able to dry my nails in between each coat to ensure that they dry quickly and fully. Plus, it also works double duty with an LED dryer on it so you can even attempt an at-home gel mani if you dare.
Finally, after the entire mani is over, I give my cuticles a quick brush of hydration with this Tenoverten Celery Nail Oil. Like the Ella + Mila product, this one is also “7-free,” as well as vegan, cruelty-free, and paraben-free. Plus, it has an easy brush applicator so you don’t have to worry about applying too much and making a mess.
I finish my hair washing routine with a cool rinse.
On Damp Hair
Next I will apply a leave in conditioner, I have been using Unite 7 Second Conditioner for years and a new favorite is from Moroccanoil, it smells so good. Then I use a wide tooth comb or wet brush to brush my hair.
If I am planning on blow drying my hair, I will spray a volumizing spray to my roots. This helps my hair from looking flat and also if I spritz some through the ends — it helps to maintain style/curls. Then I will put a tiny bit of hair oil on the ends of my hair before drying. I have a few favorite oils including Oribe, Gisou, Dae and Olaplex.
For air dried hair, I am still experimenting with various products that work for me. My current favorite combination is to apply Olaplex No. 6 and then a little bit of Olaplex Hair Oil through the mid to ends of my hair then scrunch and let dry.
It comes as no surprise that I love my Dyson products. They are investment tools, but because of their heat protection technology — it really does protect my hair even when I am styling it. I use their blowdryer to dry my hair or the diffuser attachment to speed up my air drying when I wear my hair wavy.
My all time favorite is the Dyson Airwrap — it takes a little bit to learn how to use it, but once you get the hang of it it is a GAME CHANGER! I dry and style my hair with the attachments and I love mine so much.
After I have dried my hair, it looks really smooth and pretty but I like it to look more textured and full — so I apply various products based on the look I am going for. My all time favorite styling product is Oribe Dry Texture spray, it gives my hair volume, texture and smells incredible.
At night when I am watching tv I use the Hair Max LED light and brush my hair, this is a laser treatment for your hair follicles to reverse the thinning process and regrow your hair. On their site it says it helps with new hair growth, increased density and healthier, fuller hair.
I also apply a few drops of The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum on my part and in the front sections of my hair. The serum is meant to help hair look thicker, denser, fuller, and healthier.
Daily, I use the Slip silk skinny hair ties because I can put my hair back without leaving a crease in my hair. When I am doing a tight ponytail, I buy a pack of hair ties but I am always losing them or they lose their elasticity so I always buy new packs.
I think that is just about everything I use! If I missed something, comment on my instagram and let me know any other requests you have!
