As most of you may know, my day-today schedule can get pretty hectic. Between emails, filming, blogging, and social media, I have to remain super organized to stay on track. My personal goal is to make 2017 my most productive year yet. Here are a few of the apps I use to stay organized, focused, and on schedule.
30/30 uses a timer to time tasks to keep you focused on one project at a time. How it works is you set your tasks in order of importance and then an alarm sounds when the allotted time has passed. When I’m working from home I like to schedule 30 minutes for blogging, 15 minutes to grab a snack, 40 minutes for editing a video, etc.
Tripit organizes confirmation emails, reservations, and everything travel-related in one place. This makes it easy to access your travel plans in one place on all your devices even if you’re offline. You can also add pics and notes into the app of restaurants and sights you want to remember for your next trip.
Need help remembering to drink eight glasses of water or take your vitamins? HabitList helps you stay on track and break down your longterm goals into actual habits. It’s also useful for household tasks, working out, and setting small reminders like remembering to be grateful.
I get a TON of emails which can really interrupt my workflow. When I really need to buckle down and focus on the task at hand, I use Inbox Pause to halt my emails until I complete what I’m working on.
Self-Control is an app I use when I really REALLY need to avoid distractions. You can use it to block sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for a set amount of time, giving you time to focus, focus, focus.
