With the number of coronavirus cases increasing all over the U.S., many people I know (myself included) are trying to be as cautious as possible. Having been on lockdown in LA since March, I totally understand the need to get out of your house, but unfortunately, travel and socializing is a little limited right now. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a little fun from home!
Check out three at-home staycation ideas for you to try out — whether you have a small quarantine crew, are hanging with friends over Zoom, or are just chilling on your own.
If you can’t travel right now, but can bring it to your house instead! If you’re handy in the kitchen, this is the perfect way to have fun preparing a meal and feasting after. Turn on some music, pour some tequila, prep all the usual taco fillings, and have a ton of fun! This is a great one to do with your quarantine crew because each person can contribute something different.
Virtual Slumber Party
If your closest friends are spread out and you can’t see them in person right now, not to worry — you can always host a virtual slumber party! Slip into your coziest loungewear, apply your favorite Summer Fridays mask, and get ready to have a ball with your favorite gals (socially distanced and over Zoom, of course). You can play games, do your masks together, or just hang and catch up.
Picnics are such a romantic thing, regardless of whether you’re doing one with your partner, your bestie, or just on your own. You can pack up your favorite snacks in a cute little picnic basket, throw on your breeziest sundress, and head out to your favorite outdoor destination. If you don’t have a grassy backyard at your disposal, you can picnic at the beach or neighborhood park (just remember to bring your mask).
