A week’s worth of events in the hustle and bustle of New York City is no walk in the park. Sure, Fashion Week is an inspiring environment, but it’s not so fun when you’re starving with blisters and a phone on 1% battery life. Making it through Fashion Week all comes down to preparation. Here’s how some of my favorite bloggers survive New York Fashion Week in style.
This is the fourth fashion week I’ve attended and through the seasons, I’ve learned a little bit more about how to survive the week. The best tip is to plan ahead with your schedule and to write everything out each day, where you need to go, what time and an ADDRESS! So you don’t need to search through old emails. Other than that always carry a mobile charger on you so your phone won’t die taking snapchats from your favorite show, bring a tote bag with a pair of flats for any unexpected walking and pack mints for lots of talking!
Keep reading to see what some of my blogger friends want to share and their tips.
Kimberly Pesch of Eat Sleep Wear
“ALWAYS have a Mophie charger in your clutch. So many Instagrams mean no phone battery. I also ALWAYS carry blister Band-Aids and a tube of red lipstick (Nars Heatwave is my fav!) for last minute touch ups.”
Sazan Hendrix of Sazan.me
“Bring comfortable shoes, oil-removing blot sheets, and keep a nude lip gloss handy on-the-go!”
Grasie Mercedes of Style Me Grasie
“Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! With water not champagne! I mean have champagne too but…there’s so much running around happening and it’s easy to get dehydrated and feel sick. No matter how cute you look if you feel like poo poo, it isn’t fun.”
Geri Hirsch of Because I’m Addicted
“I abide by all the usual survival tips: a Mophie, Uber, a good serum, coconut water, blister Band-Aids, etc., but my ultimate secret weapon is a handheld steamer. It’s an outfit game changer!”

“Try to be as organized as you can. For me Fashion Week means going to a show and trying to write a review before I head to the next one, so I spend a lot of time working on a detailed schedule to fit it all in. My only other advice would be to upgrade to a serious makeup primer to limit your touch-ups. Oh, and have a glass of wine every night.”
Moti Ankari of The Metro Man
“Make sure to pack your favorite power bar. Sometimes you find yourself running (literally) from show to show with no time to stop for lunch. My favorite are Quest bars!”

Great tips! I love that each blogger has her/his own tricks that help them to go through NYFW. New York Fashion Week is an incredibly busy and hectic time, but it gets better if you know what works specifically for you!
