Day to night dressing is about more than going straight from work to dinner, it’s also the smartest way to approach packing for a weekend getaway. Before you pack for your next mini-vacay, remember these few tips:
Stick to neutrals. A minimal color palette is a lot easier to work with, everything just goes together and you can mix and match without feeling like you’re wearing the same outfit over and over.
If you’re packing any dresses, avoid anything that’s too fancy or too casual. I like to pack mostly shirt dresses and coat dresses because they’re easy to dress up or dress down.
Shoes are the hardest part when it comes to packing. I think booties are one of the most versatile shoe styles out there so I bring a pair with me wherever I go. These caged booties by Sole Society are really easy to style with day or nighttime looks. With ripped denim they can look cool and stylish, with simple dresses they look sexy and polished. Since they’re a statement shoe, all you need to do is throw these in a duffle bag with a few simple outfits and you’re ready for your trip!
If you have any shoes by Sole Society or if you have a duffle like mine I’d love to see it, post it on Instagram with the hashtag #mysolesociety. If you haven’t shopped the brand yet, you can get 20% off your first order over when you sign up for their email list!

My husband would have liked me to read this before we left for 2 weeks in Greece and Paris. 2 suitcases and 9 pair of shoes! And, that doesn’t include the extra carry on filled with new purchases! Thanks for the tips for next time-
