After spending 10 days in New York for Fashion Week, I ended the trip with a memorable tour around the city. Longchamp along with Vogue took me and a few other bloggers around the city to see work from JGoldcrown and Bradley Theodore. I always pass by murals and street art stopping for pictures, but this incredible visit took us on a more personal tour behind their work.
We started in Soho at the #bleedhearts #lovewall by @jgoldcrown. The artist, James, met us there to begin our art tour. He is from London but now lives in New York and you can find his signature work around the city. This stop is on Mott Street in Soho then we went around the corner to another mural in Freeman’s Alley. It made the perfect backdrop for our Longchamp bags!
After spending the afternoon with James, all of us hopped in a car and made our way to DUMBO. Being a Los Angeles girl, I had no idea what this actually meant … but it is a neighborhood in Brooklyn that stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. We made our way into the home of Bradley Theodore who greeted us with cheesecake and custom cocktails.
His work I immediately remember as I had seen photos of the Anna Winter and Karl Lagerfeld paintings before. He spoke with us about his process and what inspired him and we were all in awe of his colorful creations. This art tour around the city was such an inspiring day and I can’t wait to visit New York again to find more of their work around the city.
